ILMEA is an auditioned honor choir that takes students from several middle schools and junior highs in the Chicago Suburbs. 7th and 8th Grade students from Bednarcik may audition to be a part of the ILMEA Honor Choir. Auditions are held on Saturday, October 1st, at Yorkville Middle School. The festival itself is held on Saturday, November 5th at Oswego East High School.
Students who choose to audition will be asked to sing a Major Scale (DO to DO), a Major Triad (DO MI SOL MI DO), and a Minor Triad (LA DO MI DO LA). In addition, students will be asked to sing short sections from two of the songs we'll perform at the ILMEA Concert. Below are recordings of those song excerpts.
